That’s some shortage: Nintendo Wii

Wish all shortages were like this 🙂

Amazon’s Wii purchase limit policy:

As you may know, the Nintendo Wii is in great demand, and there are shortages of this product across the U.S. In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase a Wii, we are limiting the total number of Wiis that can be purchased. As a result, each household may only purchase up to 3 Nintendo Wii units total. See additional policy details here.

Let’s see. Say 70 million US households with internet connection, only 3 Wiis per household, that’s 210 million Wiis. That’s some shortage! At over $300 dollars a pop, when the economy is in or close to recession, I doubt if families would fork over a grand to get 3 Wiis. Before the shortage gets any worse, I am going to ask a relative of mine to get just one for my kids 🙂
