West Bengal or West Bandhall?

Bombay, Calcutta, Madras and Bangalore were renamed Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai and Bengalooru respectively.

Why not rename states? With bandhs happening in the state at frequent intervals why not rename West Bengal as West Bandhall?
